About the brand
“Today Guilin is a large city in South China, growing at the same rate as its many houses. But once its incredible granite peaks were the only elevations. Osmanthus was already being grown here 2,500 years ago. Its perfume still permeates the valley, as a bamboo raft glides along the Li”. We have chosen the most delicate and fragrant of the many varieties of this small, olive-like evergreen. Absolue d’Osmanthe is our homage to China’s millennial of culture. In spring and autumn, the valley of the River Li is tinged with white, red and orange flowers and dark red fruits similar to olives. Dominated by a delicate hint of peach, the formula re-evokes the dream of the ancient Orient, reworking it with a modern twist. Around the Osmanthus flowers, Jasmine Sambac, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Tolu Balsam and Labdanum build an enigma for the senses: is there something of the eternal in this fragrance?
Born in 2011 from the extensive experience of Gian Luca Perris, the Perris Monte Carlo brand expresses an idea of luxury based not on appearance, but on the quality of craftsmanship. The passion for bringing back the true art of perfumery is the brainchild of the manifestation of the brand Perris Monte Carlo. Founded in Milan in 1981, The Perris Group is headquartered in the Principality of Monaco and today operates in over 50 countries around the world. The Group specializes in promoting both premium and niche brands. The Perris family has been dedicated to the beauty sector for half a century. With passion and expertise, it creates a range of successful products, launching and marketing them internationally. The real core of the company is, however, perfume. A passion for which has been handed down, and taken new forms, within the family. "I first envisaged Perris Monte Carlo while I was traveling. Looking back, I don’t know where exactly I was. Perhaps in the Middle East, when I was searching for the essence of roses. Or maybe while I was walking through the lavender fields of Provence. What really matters though is the reason behind that first idea. And the reason is simple. I realized that I had the privilege of experiencing the traditional world of perfumes, which is still very much alive today. That I had been able to learn from great masters. That by observing their work, I was privileged to be a direct heir to a wonderful tradition. And I didn’t want all this tradition to be lost. Bringing the wonders of the culture of perfumes to today’s world – a world so often focused on the here and now – was a considerable endeavor. It was necessary to consider not only the essences themselves, but also how we can educate others about one’s sense of smell, so that everyone can appreciate them.
